Tanya Tucker Hospitalized After Suffering Upper Respiratory Infection

Tanya Tucker

Country music legend Tanya Tucker announced the postponement of her North American tour while she recuperates in a Nashville hospital.

The “Delta Dawn” singer contracted an upper respiratory infection while on tour in South Dakota; she had a concert date there scheduled for October 7th.

Tanya’s illness has forced the postponement of six tour dates in October. The plucky songbird has had a life of well-publicized ups and downs, so she likely won’t be out of commission for long!

I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets and were looking forward to seeing us on the road,” she said in an official statement. “I just feel terrible, but I’ll get even worse if I don’t take care of myself. I love you all,” Tucker said.

Tanya’s fans will be happy to know that the singer is already on the mend. She was feeling well enough on October 10th to post on Facebook…

Thanks everyone for all the amazing birthday wishes. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve got the best fans in the world! Love ya!!”

Tanya Tucker appeared on the musical scene in the 1970’s. Since then she’s had 23 Top 10 albums, 56 Top 40 singles and 10 Billboard number one singles.
