Reba Debuts New Single “Going Out Like That”

A few months ago I told you about Reba becoming the inaugural signing on new label Nash Icon Records. Well it did not take long for miss fancy to grace us with brand new single “Going Out Like That”.

The media crossover mogul leaves the sitcom lights behind to bring us her first new music in 4 years. “When you listen to thousands of songs trying to find just the right one to record, a really great song jumps out at you,” says Reba.  “It jumped out because it’s an uptempo song with great sassiness.”

Penned by hit writers Ben Hayslip, Rhett Akins and Jason Sellers, the tune was originally written for a man. But, with a few tweeks and Reba’s distinct stylings, this tune rivals any women’s power anthem. Even those previously recorded by the “queen of country” herself. The song was produced by long time collaborator Tony Brown.

“Going Out Like That”, is the headmost track from the timeless diva’s new album set for an April release. The 2015 Reba reboot does not end there though. This June she will join Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn for  Reba, Brooks and Dunn: Together In Vegas. An unprecedented country music residency at the Caesar’s Palace resort.

Reba has spanned her multigenerational empire across music, television, film, broadway stage and retail. A member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and recipient of waaaaaay too many awards to name, the Oklahoma native could have faded into greatness graciously without so much as a negative thought from fans. But that is not the fiery spirit and tenacity we have fallen in love with over the years.

Fans continue flocking in droves to anything and everything Reba is a part of and 2015 shows no signs of her slowing down . Because as Reba quotes, “Be different, stand out, and work your butt off.”
