Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus To Host Inaugural Innovation In Music Awards

The Innovation in Music Awards is proud to announce the host for the inaugural award ceremony to be Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus. The night, designed to celebrate those in the music industry who have helped champion new talent and innovation, will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at the Westin Hotel in Nashville.

Recognizing a number of industry leaders who are distinguished in the discovery and innovative strategy of driving forward the direction of today’s music landscape, the ceremony will consist of acceptance speeches from the evening’s honorees, musical performances, and a short-form talk from an industry representative considered to be a bright, forward-thinker.

Jay DeMarcus is the bassist, pianist, harmony vocalist, songwriter and producer of superstar country music trio Rascal Flatts. DeMarcus also has a thriving career as a producer, working with such acts as, the legendary band Chicago, Ronnie Dunn, Kix Brooks, Shenandoah, Reba and more.

He’s also taken to the producer’s chair for Rascal Flatts’ latest work, including “Back To Us”, “Rewind” and ” The Greatest Gift Of All.” DeMarcus also enjoys acting, appearing in several TV shows, including: ‘Yes, Dear’, ‘CSI’, ‘Drop Dead Diva’, and ‘Nashville’.  He’s also been in several movies, ‘A Country Christmas’, ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’, ‘Butterfly Caught’ and many others.
