About the author
Christine McDonald has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil and a thought. Her pastimes growing up were singing, dancing, writing and plunking out tunes on a little toy piano. Singing "All You Need Is Love", Christine made her debut where most performers get their start - in a little joint called the bathroom. In 2004 she joined the Boston chapter of (NSAI) and studied songwriting. Christine's a bona fide music junkie, toe-tapping even to commercials but "She's Country" at heart. Combining her love of the arts, singing, dancing, songwriting and writing, it's no surprise Christine took to Freelance Writing as a Profession. When Christine's not writing for the entertainment industry she's usually plucking out articles or web writing for the Holistic Health Industry. Christine's also a Master Reiki Practitioner-Teacher of the Japanese Healing Art of Reiki. You can check it all out at her website. And nobody says it like Kenny Chesney, but "She's from Boston" !!! For feedback, information or professional writing services, you can reach Christine at email@example.com
Contrary to the name, Country Music Pride is not just about country—we're also about bluegrass, folk, alt-country and a fair amount of classic rock—but most of all, we're about love. We built this site because we love the music and wanted to provide an online music source for a genre that didn't quite have its Pitchfork Media or Nah Right equivalent. We seek to provide engaging, fresh content daily, ranging from news and features to album reviews to in-depth interviews with some of the top performers today, from Dan Tyminski to Dolly Parton.
This is a site for the fans. We believe an online music source is nothing if the fans can't participate, so we're always trying to find new avenues for our readers to get involved. We have crowd-participation open threads on hot country topics, plenty of fun promotional contests and we encourage written contributions by dedicated country fans.
So go Country Music Pride...because if you say you like "everything, but country," we'll know you're lying.
