Miranda Lambert Cancels Canadian Show

Miranda Lambert was recently forced to cancel an upcoming concert due to severe vocal chord inflammation. Lambert was scheduled to perform Thursday in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Calgary Stampede when the news of her condition was announced through a statement posted on the Calgary Stampede Facebook page.

“Regretfully, Miranda Lambert will not be able to perform her Scotiabank Saddledome concert scheduled for Thursday July 9, 2015 and will be rescheduling to return at a later date yet to be determined. Miranda Lambert is unable to perform due to serious inflammation of her vocal chords according to her physician.

Ticket holders were told to hold on to their tickets until the concert is rescheduled. Details for ticket holders will be posted on the Stampede’s website and Ticketmaster when the concert is rescheduled.

“We understand that this news is disappointing for fans,” says Paul Rosenberg, chief operating officer of the Calgary Stampede. “We will know more about rescheduling the concert later.”

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be at Stampede this week, but I’ll be back in Calgary just as soon as I can for all of my Stampede fans.” said Lambert.
