Mike And The Moonpies Announce National Tour Dates Supporting “Mockingbird”

After releasing their breakout album ‘Mockingbird’ in the fall, Mike and the Moonpies aren’t stopping any time soon, and will hit the road for a national tour this spring.

Rolling Stone included ‘Mockingbird’ in their “Best Country Albums of 2015” list, saying “Mike Harmeier spent his youth soaking up the classic country, western swing and southern rock pouring out of the jukebox of his grandfather’s favorite honky-tonk…influences that range from the Allman Brothers to George Strait. Harmeier writes with a storytelling skill and specificity his heroes would appreciate — and the musicians play with the fire of the hard-touring band that they are.”

Mike and the Moonpies recently hit the road hard in support of the album. (See below for a full list of dates.)

The band has been receiving rave reviews for their latest album, ‘Mockingbird’, see what critics are saying about it here:

Carries heavy influences of old western music, stirring up sounds influenced by everything from George Strait and Randy Travis to The Allman Brothers.” – Paste

One of the strongest authentic country efforts released this year.” – Saving Country Music

Exuberantly taps into the music of Mike’s childhood, playing honky-tonk and swing like they belong on the radio next to Luke Bryan.” – Country Weekly

Plays like an album out of time… just as likely to get cut in contemporary Texas as in the Seventies Rust Belt.” – Austin Chronicle

The instrumentation is stellar…reverence for traditional country music is on display throughout.” – Country Standard Time

A record not to be missed.” – Roughstock
