And for the first time ever, The Museum will live stream one of its VIP Exhibit Opening Receptions. Tune in for remarks from Blake Shelton and a peek into this exclusive invitation-only event, celebrating the opening of “Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story”, supported by SunTrust at 6:00 PM.

Shelton was destined for stardom and his bold vocals and rugged allure probe it. The exhibition examines the star’s road to success, from his childhood to his move to Nashville as a teen, and from his multi-platinum recording breakthrough to becoming a national celebrity on NBC’s “The Voice”, where Shelton has been the coach of four champions over the show’s previous nine seasons.

Bringing his honky-tonk roots to Nashville’s contemporary song craft, he has since grown to be one of America’s most beloved celebrities. A range of artifacts, including stage wear, instruments, song manuscripts, photos, and personal items will help tell the story of Shelton’s struggles and triumphs.
