“Live From The Artists Den” It’s The Zac Brown Band!

The Zac Brown Band will kick off the ninth season of ‘Live from the Artists Den’ on Friday, January 30th with a moving performance at the legendary Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. The three time Grammy winning group will perform a full set list of hits that includes fan favorites “Colder Weather,” “Jump Right In,” and “Day for the Dead” from their 2013 album, The Grohl Sessions Volume 1.

Other artists appearing on this season of Artists Den include Alabama Shakes, Cage the Elephant and Damien Rice. Past episodes have featured Adele, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw, Robert Plant, Elvis Costello, Ringo Starr and Sheryl Crow, just to name a few.

For this episode, Zac Brown Band will bring music back to the historic Forest Hills Stadium (which is the original home of the US Open and has housed iconic concerts by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix). The stadium reopened in 2013 after a quiet streak lasting almost 20 years! Zac Brown Band is one of the most successful of their generation as they have proved to master the incorporation of a mix of country, bluegrass, reggae, Southern rock, and jam music into the sound of their music.

“We just want to appeal to music lovers – people that appreciate our musicianship and all the time and hard work that we put into our lyrics and songs. This is our chance to capture them,” Zac Brown said in the episode interview. “Hopefully by the end of the performance, we’ve all been lifted up in this kind of sphere of energy together, and when the show is over, everyone feels inspired and full.”
