Little Big Town Reschedules Summer Tour

Little Big Town, CMA Vocal Group of the Year, is off to a little bit of a rough starts. Were recently forced to cancel and or reschedule all tour dates between now and July 30TH. The announcement was made via their Facebook page and website Wednesday as Jimi Westbrook is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cord.

“With heavy hearts we want to let you guys know that Jimi will have to undergo surgery next week to remove a polyp on his vocal cord,” they wrore. “As a result, doctors have ordered him to rest his voice and completely recuperate before we continue touring. All shows through July 30th will be cancelled or rescheduled. It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi’s health is the most important thing and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment. We will keep everyone updated on Jimi’s progress. Thanks for your understanding and support. – K,K,J & P

The group’s controversial (at first) single, “Girl Crush,” just marked its sixth week at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart. They performed last weekend, headlining CMA Festival in Nashville, where they hopped onstage with the Oak Ridge Boys to perform “Elvira.”

They were recently scheduled to perform on Thursday, July 18th at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA but rescheduled the show for Thursday, September 10th after Westbrook lost his voice.

All alternate dates have not yet been scheduled. Their summer tour featured support from Ashley Monroe and David Nail both of whom have not commented.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jimi for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
