Joe Nichols “Hard to be Cool”

By: Chase Miller

“Yeah” is exactly what we are all thinking about Joe Nichols’ new song “Hard To Be Cool.” Shoot, even Joe Nichols himself is surprised to see what a sensation the song has become when he told Rolling Stone,

“It’s surprised me how popular it is in the live show.”

With his two gold certified hits “Sunny And 75” and “Yeah” under his belt, we are all anxious to see if this new single reaches the top of the charts. “Hard To Be Cool” debuted as the #2 most added country song on 48 stations monitored by U.S. Country Radio in early September and has been on the rise ever since. This might just be the beginning of what to expect from this new hit.

I can tell you that I think this new song has the potential to reach number one. Especially knowing that Rolling Stone Country exclusively released a new lyric video for “Hard To Be Cool.” This video features a fine young lad of plenty of snow cones. The video can be viewed here, so be sure to check it out!

With the CMA Awards approaching I would not be surprised to see Joe Nichols’ win even more awards this year. Previously Joe Nichols has claimed “Best New Artist” from the Country Music Association, “Top New Male Vocalist” from the Academy of Country Music, along with numerous other awards and 4 Grammy nominations. I think the question we all have is how many awards will he win and how many awards will he win with his new single, “Hard To Be Cool.”   If you haven’t heard his latest single feel free to check it out on iTunes at the link listed below, where you can also find his other top singles “Sunny And 75” and “Yeah.”
