JAKE OWEN DEBUTS MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “WHAT WE AIN’T GOT”

Jake Owen will debut his brand new music video for his emotionally charged single “What We Ain’t Got” across the media spectrum this week. You can get the first look exclusively on Entertainment Tonight Online. Following the premier, the powerful video will be available on CMT, VEVO and all other digital partners.

Jake, typically known for his laid-back, fun in the sun themed hits, showcases a much different side of his musical talents with his latest single written with the help of Travis Jerome Goff and recovering addict, Travis Meadows. “I was immediately taken by this song and Travis’ raw honesty,” stated Owen. “This is an anthem for people living real live which is what country music is-telling stories about real life.” Amen! This is exactly what connects fans to country music.

The video for “What We Ain’t Got was filmed in Nashville, TN and features simple snapshots of real life for people who have struggled, experienced loss while all the while providing inspiration to others. Director Mason Dixon reinforces the factual scenes with glimpses of Owen performing the powerful song solo.

Showcasing his authoritative and confident voice, the song was recorded at Ocean Way studios and is featured on his current album Days of Gold. Fans, music critics and radio alike are in agreement that Owen’s fresh sound shows his versatility as it gives us a look into the more emotional side of his personality. Rolling Stone made the statement, “A plaintive piano and steel guitar ballad about unchecked desire, is all Owen’s voice…sounds as if it were cut in a pitch-black room, with all Owen’s fears closing in.”
