Headliners Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban & Garth Brooks Deliver At Stagecoach This Weekend

Now that Stagecoach 2018 is over…can we take a moment to talk about how AMAZING the headlining acts were this year???

Kicking off night one of the three day country music festival, Florida Georgia Line brought out all the stops bringing multiple guests to the close of Day One. Rumors were flying that Bebe Rexha would be joining the duo on stage but much to our disappointment turned out to be greatly exaggerated…Rexha was actually in Europe shooting a music video…but they were not short on bringing out multiple guests including Jake Owen and Chris Lane (who had performed earlier in the day) for Sun Daze, and Morgan Wallen for his own current single, “Up Down,” which FGL aslo sing on.

FGL also brought out R&B artist Jason Derulo and the “Wal-Mart Yodeling Kid,” Mason Ramsey.

In the course of the last five years a lot has changed for Florida Georgia Line…they have gone from playing Stagecoach’s afternoon slot (2:30 pm), to headliners of the three-day festival. Tyler Hubbard revealed that he had actually met his wife at that first Stagecoach the duo played back in 2013.

Who knew that five years later, we’d be married and have a little boy?” he mused.

Even though Tyler and Brian may have grown up some over the years they proved they have not forgotten how to bring the party, finishing out the day with “Anything Goes,” “Round Here,” and “Sun Daze.” They also brought out Jason Derulo to sing “This Is How We Roll” with them as well has had him take the lead on his own single, “Want to Want Me.”

Closing out Stagecoach’s second night…Keith Urban…who hasn’t been back to the Stagecoach stage since 2010. Eight years is a long time to wait but he definitely made up for lost time…and to our great surprise, his wife (Nicole Kidman) was on hand!

This is exactly what I was hoping for tonight, Stagecoach!” Keith exclaimed. “A full moon….beautiful people….my wife [Nicole Kidman] in the wings!” to which the audience went wild.

He engaged with the crowd while singing “You Look Good In My Shirt,” while going ALL the way into the General Admission area to perform on a surprise stage…AND presented a very ecstatic young lady with his guitar! Who wouldn’t be excited!?!

Urban gave us a sampling of his brand new album “Graffiti U”appropriatly wearing a jacket with the same title…which included the popular “Parallel Lines,” his current single, “Coming Home,” and “My Way,” which Keith described the song to be about “living life on your own terms, and not being concerned about the ‘shine blockers.'”

Keith then surprised the crowd by asking Brothers Osborne  to come back on stage to sing “this California song,” and then followed by Dwight Yoakam‘s “Fast As You.” To the crowd’s bigger surprise…halfway through the song, Dwight himself (who perfomed on the Palomino stage earlier that day) joined them on stage.

The night country music fans have been waiting for over a decade…night three…GARTH BROOKS. This year history was made…the country music icon not only headlined the three-day festival…he also sold a record-breaking 75,000 tickets!

I’ve only been here for twenty minutes, and I can already tell it’s taken me way too long to get here!” Garth exclaimed early in his set.

Trisha Yearwood joined him onstage halfway through his performance…where she comented that after she played Stagecoach (ten years ago), that she had gone home and told Garth, “You have to play Stagecoach. You’ll have the time of your life.” We are so glad he finally listened!

Garth’s only guest was not Trisha…also brought on Lee Brice to sing the songwriter’s version of “More Than a Memory” with him.

He followed up with an acoustic version of “Unaswered Prayers,” but came back with the energy for “Rodeo,” “Papa Loved Mama,” “The Thunder Rolls,” and “Friends In Low Places.” He took requests from the audience…performing bits and pieces of “The Change,” “Ireland,” and “Face to Face.”

There is always and adventure to be had at Stagecoach and that’s what makes it the most memorable. Can’t wait for 2019…who do you hope will be on the lineup?

Thank you Stagecoach!
