Happy birthday wishes go out to the CMA Female Vocalist Of The Year…Miranda Lambert today, the beautiful “Vice” singer turns 34 years young!
2017 was a growth-filled year for the Texas native who split from husband and fellow country star Blake Shelton in 2015. This year ushered in a slew of new beginnings for the feisty songstress, following a new album and her consistent relationship with Anderson East.
Last November (hard to believe it’s already been a year!) Miranda’s double album, “The Weight Of These Wings,” was released and its first single, “Vice,” wowed critics and fans alike. According to USA Today, “Lambert is one of the best songwriters in the game, and “Vice’s” gloomy heartbreak is masterfully done.”
While “Vice” may rock a melancholy vibe, Miranda’s personal life is anything but gloomy. Bringing a smile to her face fellow musician and paramour Anderson East! They make an adorable couple, and wouldn’t it be great to see a professional collaboration between these two talented artists?
Epic records signed Miranda to a record deal in 2003. She became a household name in 2005 with the release of her breakout album, “Kerosene”.
Since her platinum award winning debut with “Kerosene”, Miranda was nominated for five CMA’s…Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year. She won one…Female Vocalist of the Year, which she has now won eight of the 12 times she’s been nominated. She also served up the night’s most traditionally country moment with her performance of “To Learn Her,” from her nominated “The Weight of These Wings” album.
Miranda will kick off her “Livin’ Like Hippies World Tour” with special guests Jon Pardi, Brent Cobb, Lucie Silvas, The Steel Woods, Sunny Sweeney, Ashley McBryde & Charlie Worsham across North America in 2018.
