Get more LBT with the Walmart Soundcheck series and guitar giveaway!

By: Tony Manfetano  Last week I told you guys about WalMart’s Soundcheck. This is a new venue on Walmart’s site devoted purely on bringing fans music, videos and behind the scenes exclusives from all of your favorite artists. In this series we are focusing on Little Big Town. Check out the first episode review for a more in depth delineation.

LBT is coming off of a widely successful recent album release titled, “Pain Killer”.  You are doing yourself a disservice if you haven’t watched the luminescent CMA performance of “Day Drinking” in which the band teams up with pop star Ariana Grande. Also included in the ensemble was a 20 piece drumline culled from local Nashville schools and drum corps. But alas, the accolades don’t stop there. Little Big Town accepted the CMA award for Vocal Group Of The Year! Man, I love seeing these guys finally getting the recognition fans have known they deserve for years. Keep up with Countrymusicpride.com for a review of “Pain Killer”, coming soon.

Compounded, these last few weeks have been watershed for LBT. Let’s face it though, you haven’t gotten enough yet. Which is exactly why this is the perfect time to click on over to Soundcheck and feed that fix.

In episode 2 we get a candid interview with our harmonizing heroes about living in Nashville.  They give their take on the city’s recent rise in popularity versus cultural heritage. Later we they tell us about, “Quit Breaking Up With Me”, the title track on the new record. And they share how the writing process was a little different than usual before finishing up with a performance of the aforementioned track.

The final episode features “Pontoon” and “Stay All Night”. LBT discuss a little about life on the road in the interview portion. The message of “Stay all Night” fits nicely into the trope of being traveling entertainers and the live in studio performance of this foot stompin’ tune round out the series perfectly.

Definitely check out WalMart’s Soundcheck  and fall down that musical rabbit hole. Of course I would be remiss not to remind you all about the LBT Autographed Guitar Giveaway still in full effect.
