Georgia Boy Jordan Rager Proves His Latest Single “Colorblind” Is Big City Buzz-Worthy

Georgia native Jordan Rager celebrated his latest single “Colorblind’” last week in Nashville.  Via email invites that looked like folded old-school paper invites he requested his friends, family and media join him for a private party held at the WME (William Morris Endeavor’s Talent Agency) Steps in Downtown Nashville.  The former Broken Bow Records artist broke ties with his previous label and is now on the rise with Riser House Records.

25 year-old Rager has been gaining attention in the country world since his appearance on Season 2 of The Voice in 2012.  He has become somewhat of a youtube sensation by posting covers of country songs online; gaining the attention of fans as well as several current country artists, including Justin Moore.  In 2016, Jordan teamed up with fellow Georgian Jason Aldean to release “Southern Boy,” which peaked on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart at #41.

The WME event sponsored by George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey & Music City Beer Co provided snacks and drinks before breaking into a performance of around 10 songs.  Sporting fresh ink that every artist can relate to, “Through Struggle Comes Strength” Jordan took the stage.    Alongside his bandmates, Rager ran through a setlist that included previous singles “One of the Good Ones” and “Colorblind, current single “Georgia Boy” and upcoming single “Colorblind’’.”

He also played “Damn Strait,” a song that he had a hand in writing, which was recently cut by fellow artist Granger Smith and snuck in a rocking cover of Lit’s “My Worst Enemy.”

Jordan seemed to follow the local songwriting advice to sing what you know, as most of his lyrics reflect on his Georgia upbringing.  His authenticity shines in his songs through his soulful yet energetic performances.  He remained humbled throughout the event, repeatedly thanking his team, co-writers and family for helping him every step of the way, and sticking around to chat with everybody afterwards.

With his fresh twist on lyrics, catchy melodies and clever hooks Jordan Rager is proving he’s ready for the big time.  You can keep up to date with him by following him on all the usual media outlets including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
