Emily Hackett Teams Up With Wrangler To Debut “Good Intentions” Acoustic

Nashville country-pop artist Emily Hackett recently recorded an acoustic version of her witty single “Good Intentions,” which premiered exclusively yesterday with Wrangler / Wrangler Network. Today, the stripped down rendition of the hit is available on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

“This song is unique for me because it’s not just my story,” Emily expressed in a recent interview with Paste. “I pulled real-life snippets from a bunch of my friends. One used to get their car towed from the bar all the time, one kept swearing off boys but still flirting her way through life, one has definitely had some serious retail therapy. It’s a little bit of everyone because that’s the idea – we all have good intentions.”

Since “Good Intentions” debuted at CMA Fest, publications like Billboard and Refinery29 have praised the track, and the official video is currently in rotation on CMT and CMT Music. Emily was also recently named one of Rolling Stone Country‘s ’10 New Country Artists You Need To Know.’

“Her forthcoming EP, By The Sun, is a smart meeting-point between early-Aughts pop, country’s current genre playfulness and the one-name women of the Nineties (Faith, Trisha, Shania), with plenty of room for both tender and tongue-in-cheek confessionals.” – Marissa R. Moss, Rolling Stone

Emily’s previous single “Nostalgia” was a fan favorite. The track’s official video earned Emily a spot on CMT’s Artist Discovery Program, where it received 6+ weeks of airplay on CMT Music – the video even made it on the fan-voted CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown, peaking at #7.
