Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Brett Eldrege & More Take A Spin In The Latest Episode Of ‘The Pickup’

Without a doubt, one of the hottest Mothers’ Day gifts of 2016 will be this week’s release of “Coat Of Many Colors”, the movie that was based upon the 1971 classic song from Dolly Parton. To get fans geared up for the release, the Country Music Hall of Fame member stops by this week’s edition of “The Pickup” to discuss the film.

Parton’s not the only performer making news this week. Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton, and Jamey Johnson all take part in a special tribute to the late Merle Haggard, and another icon…Charley Pride…begins his 50th anniversary year by announcing a big tour.

Among the newer stars featured on “The Pickup” include a look at Kip Moore’s recent sold-out trip across the pond, while Brett Eldredge marks his fifth straight number one hit with “Drunk On Your Love.”

The recent passing of Prince sent the music world reeling, and his influence was felt among Country Music performers as well. Veteran hit-maker Deborah Allen discusses her collaboration with the singer on her 1987 song “Telepathy”…plus Martina McBride teams up with HSN to promote her new album “Reckless” with an exclusive performance…all on this week’s installment of “The Pickup”.

Launched in early 2015, “The Pickup, a syndicated country video news series produced by The Hot Seat, highlights today’s stars and classic country artists making news today. New episodes are posted on the 1st and 15th of each month. “The Pickup can be seen on the websites of broadcasters across the country (Nash Icon, HankFM, Midwest Communications, Zimmer Communications’ 94.3 KAT Country, etc.), online media blogs, the U.K.’s SKY Television, Heartland Network, and Sandy Zimmerman’s Las Vegas Television Network.
