Dolly Appears On Jimmy Kimmel Live & The Talk Monday, October 3rd To Talk “Pure & Simple Tour” & Dolly Parton’s “Christmas Of Many Colors- Circle Of Love”

dolly-parton-coat-of-many-colors-2-countrymusicrocks-net_-730x538Dolly Parton fans will get a double feature of her tomorrow as she is set to appear on “The Talk” in the morning and making her first appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in the evening; performing for his Outdoor Concert Series.  At both locations she will be discussing her upcoming movie “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors – Circle of Love” which premieres November 30th on NBC.  It is the sequel to the critically-acclaimed movie “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” which was released in December of 2015.  The original film generated over 13 million viewers, making it the most-watched film on TV since May 2012.  It will be available for digital download December 1 and hitting shelves on DVD December 20th.

Dolly Parton is one of country music’s largest living legends; literally she has been awarded the Living Legend Award.   Her endless list of honors and awards also include; a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, 25 Billboard Hot Country #1s, 7 Grammys, 10 CMAs, 5 ACMs and 3 AMAs.  She is also no stranger to acting and in the 80s appeared in her own comedy “9 to 5” along with several films.  She opened a self-titled theme park in Pigeon Forge, TN in 1986 called Dollywood.  Following the theme park’s success she launched the Dollywood Foundation which aids Dolly Parton’s Imaginary Library in helping keep books in the hands of preschool children.  

Dolly continues to tour and is wrapping up her latest tour, “Pure & Simple” which shares the title of her most recent album.

The last leg of the North American tour hits southern destinations beginning in Pigeon Forge, TN with stops in AL, SC, FL, LA, TX before ending in OK.  “Pure & Simple” is available for purchase through numerous outlets however Walmart has a special edition with a bonus disc containing greatest hits and exclusive tracks; and Cracker Barrel offers a deluxe version which includes live versions of “Jolene” and “9 to 5” recorded at Glastonbury Festival and a 48-page magazine featuring photos and stories from Dolly.
