Denny Strickland Premiers New Video For “The Ride” Exclusively On Country Fix

Rising Country star Denny Strickland invites fans to join him for the exclusive video premiere of “The Ride” on Country Fix today.  Strickland’s emotional and compelling interpretation of the 1983 David Allan Coe hit will air on the popular program for one week from April 25th to May 1st.

Country Fix broadcasts on Heartland TV (WSMV 4.2 in Nashville, Comcast Channel 230), The Family Channel, Angel Two Network (Dish), AMG TV Network, ‘Keep It Country TV’ network on Sky TV-UK/Ireland, and New Zealand’s Country TV.  Check local listings for airdates and times.

“The Ride” is the second of three videos filmed at The Sutler in Nashville during the Cellar Sessions.  Directed by Brian Harstine, the clip features dramatic lighting and tight camera shots of the artist. Denny’s powerful performance is among his finest; the smoky, speakeasy lounge setting draws viewers in to a whiskey-soaked world where the hint of destiny hangs in the air.

It’s a tribute to the ‘outlaws’ of the past,” he observes.  “The struggle is real, and the song does a fine job of expressing that lyrically while paying respect to the late Hank Williams Sr.”

Strickland admits this is one of his favorite songs of any genre and often plays the song during his extended acoustic shows. “The Cellar Sessions” are a follow-up to Denny’s popular “Dive Sessions” videos.

This collection allows me to get outside of my ‘comfort zone,’ and pay tribute to the great songs and singers of the past,” Denny states.  “My main focus is on more contemporary material, but at the end of the day, these songs inspired me and I owe a debt of thanks for that.”

The talented Arkansas native is currently writing songs and working in the studio to finish his upcoming EP.  In June, fans can find him in his own booth at CMA Music Festival 2016, and catch him in full-band performances at Nashville hot spots throughout the week.

His music is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes.
