David Nail Releases “FIGHTER” With Performance On NBC’s ‘TODAY’ Monday July 18th

MCA Nashville and GRAMMY-nominated recording artist David Nail releases his fourth studio album, “Fighter, today.

To celebrate the release of “Fighter, David will perform his current Top 15 single “Night’s on Fire” on NBC’s TODAY Monday, July 18th. Nail wrote or co-wrote seven of the 11 total songs for “Fighter and teamed up with the same producer from his previous successful albums, Frank Liddell, for the project.

“Fighter both as a song and album title represents a very personal journey for the Missouri native…

Fighter is about as honest as I’ve ever been. Every line will tell you a different story,” notes David.

Nail wrote the track as an ode to his wife Catherine given her “fight” through his depression diagnosis as well as struggle with infertility. People.com has exclusively premiered a video further exploring their journey to parenthood and the meaning behind the song which can be viewed HERE.

The video is part of a larger, special series allowing others to share their “Fighter” story alongside David and Catherine’s. The goal of the “Fighter” series is to inspire and amplify the message of success against seemingly unfair odds.

There are few words that can be used to describe the talent of David Nail. When you hear him on a record – or better yet, see him live – you come away with a deep appreciation for his vocal talent. Simply put, one could make the argument that he’s not one of us. On a ballad, his vocals soar into the stratosphere, and on the up-tempo songs, he takes the ordinary lyric and arrangement, and transfers it into a tour de force,” Sounds Like Nashville claims.

“Fighter” comes on the heels of his massively acclaimed album “I’m A Fire” which landed on many BEST OF lists including Rolling Stone Country, NPR, iTunes and Billboard and produced one of his now signature hits “Whatever She’s Got,” which became a No. 1 certified PLATINUM hit and was named one of the Top 3 country songs of 2014 by Billboard.

No stranger to the road, Nail’s own headlining tour “I’m A Fire Tour”  was named one of the Must See Concert Tours by Rolling Stone Country. He has toured with Taylor Swift, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Gavin DeGraw and Kenny Chesney.
