CMA New Artist of the year nominee, Cole Swindell, has been named the honorary starter for the fifth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400. The race will take place on Sunday, October 16th at the Kansas City Speedway. Cole will wave the green flag to start the race at 2:30 PM ET.
I grew up watching NASCAR with my brothers, and I still keep up with the races when I’m on tour,” said Swindell. “I’ve actually never been to the Atlanta race, but what better way could there be to experience it for the first time? This is definitely gonna be a fun trip home to Georgia.”
Swindell is currently on tour with Florida Georgia Line’s “Dig Your Roots Tour” and is gearing up to head out on his “Down Home Tour”, which kicks off October 26th.
He is also releasing his ‘Down Home Sessions III’ EP on October 28th. It follows the wildly successful release of his sophomore album, “You Should Be Here”, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes country chart within hours of its debut in May. The Platinum-certified title track has surpassed over 1 BILLION audience impressions.
