CMT Artists of the Year Awards Airs TONIGHT

Nashville is moving full speed ahead today as the final preparations are made for the 2015 “CMT Artists of the Year” special which will air LIVE tonight, Wednesday, December 2nd at 8 p.m. ET|PT.

The celebration at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center will honor some of Country music’s biggest stars such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and Blake Shelton. Together they have collectively dominated the last 12 months by ruling CMT’s platforms and country radio, scoring chart-topping album and singles and selling out arenas across the nation.

Country legend Kenny Rogers will also be receiving the prestigious “Artist of a Lifetime Award”, and Chris Stapleton will be performing live as well as receiving the first-ever CMT “Artists of the Year Breakout Award”. The cast of ABC’s “Nashville” will receive the inaugural “International Impact Award.”

The evening will feature toasts and musical tributes from friends and admirers alike including Dolly Parton, Adam Lambert, Leona Lewis, Darius Rucker, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, Trace Adkins, Kellie Pickler, Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott and veteran newsman Dan Rather, just to name a few.
