Check Out Photos From LANCO’s #1 Platinum Single Party Here!

Sony Music Nashville’s breakout band LANCO celebrated at the first No. One party of 2018 in Nashville at BMI Thursday (Jan. 4th) with friends and family to mark their two-week No. One hit “Greatest Love Story.”

Featured on their debut record “Hallelujah Nights” available Friday, January 19th, lead singer Brandon Lancaster was acknowledged as the sole writer behind the track, marking the first time in over ten years an artist’s first No. One on the chart has been solely written by that artist. Simultaneously, LANCO was surprised onstage that 2017’s “Country hit of the year” (Washington Post)has just been certified PLATINUM by the RIAA. LANCO is now the only Country band to achieve a PLATINUM single prior to a debut album release.

Rooted in the southern storytelling of Country music with the modern punch of rock & roll, “Hallelujah Nights” (Arista Nashville) is LANCO’s coming-of-age debut album.  Produced by Jay Joyce, the record is equal parts nostalgic and forward-thinking, as Lancaster wrote all eleven songs and found success breathing new life into universal themes. LANCO’s story begins in the small towns where all five bandmates…Lancaster, bassist Chandler Baldwin, multi-instrumentalist Jared Hampton, drummer Tripp Howell and lead guitarist Eric Steedly…were raised. Spread across Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia, they lived normal lives full of late nights, long weekends, hard lessons and young love.

After they crossed paths in Nashville during their early 20s, LANCO bonded over that shared southern adolescence, while hoping to build a new life in a bigger city. Capturing that essence and the spirit of their exuberant live shows, “Hallelujah Nights” breathes new life into universal themes.

The band’s “distinct brand of country music” (Sounds Like Nashville) has resonated with fans throughout the life of their self-titled debut EP, already counting more than 100 million streams. Named “the band to watch” by Bobby Bones, CMT, Entertainment Weekly, Hits Magazine, Pandora, Rolling Stone, Pandora, Spotify and more, LANCO gained their status from touring the country’s top festivals with their “twangy rock, blistering guitars and chugging rhythms” (Nashville Scene) at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Watershed, Faster Horses and more.

They will hit the road on Chris Young’s “Losing Sleep World Tour” next week in Indianapolis, IN, on Jan. 11th. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit www.LANCOMusic.com and follow them on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
