Carrie Underwood Wows Grand Ole Opry Crowd

Country’s sweetheart and seven-time Grammy winner and Grand Ole Opry member, Carrie Underwood performed during four sold-out shows at the Opry this past weekend as part of the Opry’s nine-month 90th Anniversary celebration this year.

“The Opry’s 90th anniversary comes at an exceptionally exciting time for the show,” said Pete Fisher, Opry vice president and general manager. “Fans around the world are engaged with our unique brand of entertainment like never before, and country music’s new stars, superstars, and legends continue to aspire to play the Opry stage and call it home. We want to officially invite fans and artists alike to come be a part of it all with us over the next nine months.”

Stunning in her beautiful gown that sparkled under the lights of The Opry, Carrie wowed the crowds with some of her biggest hits, including her most recent #1 song “Little Toy Guns” and the Platinum-certified Grammy winning song “Something in the Water.”

Both hits are from her Greatest Hits: Decade #1¸which Billboard claims as “the most popular hits album of the year in both overall units and pure sales.”

Proving that she’s still got it, The Opry said it best on their Instagram page, stating, “She just gets better every time we see her!” using hashtag #bestweekendever.  Agreed!
