Smith recently released his latest single “Like You That Way” to country radio, giving a glimpse into the new music he’s been working on from his next album.
When it comes to the inspiration behind his newest single, Smith shared with PEOPLE that there are two women in his life that served as leading ladies for the lyrics… my wife [Christy] and Miranda Lambert. I live with one and I listen to the other.”

“Like You That Way” is an upbeat, feel good tune that will definitely be at the top of your playlists. The lively tune is the perfect new summer anthem for all the ladies out there…“you keep the sunshine in your pocket and the rain on a chain” how do you not picture yourself cruisin’ with the windows down, wind in your air, heading to the beach for some fun in the sun?

Smith will join the fair and beach music festival scene this summer, with appearances everywhere from California to Minnesota. A fantastic live performer, he has earned himself touring slots with some of country’s top star such as Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, and Kip Moore, where he’s played over 400+ shows for more than a million fans.
I’m most excited to bring new music to the fans on the road,” Smith explained to PEOPLE. “We’ve played ‘Like You That Way’ a few times in front of a live crowd at home and when we were touring overseas in Europe, and the crowd reaction is always a great barometer. The reaction to the song so far has been amazing, so I can’t wait for more people to have the the chance to hear it.”
