Breaking News: CJ Solar Involved In Interstate Crash

CJ Solar and his band were on their way to Morgantown, West Virginia to open for Hank Williams, Jr. at the Wild & Wonderful Country Fest, when they were involved in a crash early this morning. Driving through heavy rain, a passing car hydroplaned and hit CJ’s Sprinter van and trailer. The van, the trailer and the woman’s car sustained damage, but no injuries were reported and the band made it safely to the gig.

“We were white-knuckling it through the rain, and I could see the car start to hydroplane,” said CJ, who was driving at the time of the accident. “Had it happened a few seconds earlier or later, it would have completely wiped both of us out.”

After performing in Morgantown today, CJ and band head to Corbin, Kentucky to again open for Hank, Jr. at the Corbin Arena tomorrow evening.

CJ continues to be on cloud nine after receiving news he will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, September 7th. He was 12 years old, when he and his family attended the Opry while on a vacation in Nashville. Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton performed on the show, and CJ decided that very night he wanted to move to Nashville to be a country artist.

Plans are to perform his new single, “Coming My Way,” which will be released to Country radio on August 27, 2019. The single will be the title track to his upcoming third EP. Listen to the new single on Apple MusicSpotifyYouTube and Amazon now.
