Brad & Carrie Return To Host 49th Annual CMA Awards

They’re back! The dynamic duo has made it past the seven-year itch! In case you missed the big announcement, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return for their 8th year as hosts of “The 49th CMA Awards.”

Somehow it came up, it was like, ‘We could reveal it on the show, if you’re gonna reveal it anyway,’” Paisley recalls. “And she said okay…then the funny part was, people didn’t know if we were serious!” he adds. “They were texting her publicist if it was true, and they didn’t know either! It was a great way to do it.”

Take a moment to look back on Brad & Carrie’s memorable moments below:

Paisley is a 14-time CMA winner, which makes him #5 on the list of top CMA winners of all time. Underwood, has 5 CMA Awards and will reprise her role as the voice of the “Sunday Night Football” theme song when the NFL season kicks off in September.

The final nominees are expected to be revealed on September 9th. ABC will air the show live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 4th.
