Big News From Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott

As Lady Antebellum takes break to focus on their families, the trio’s Hillary Scott has been spending quality time with her young daughter Eisele. She has also taken some time to focus on her music and announced today that she is working on a gospel album with her famous parents.

Hillary-Scotts-LetterScott revealed that new project today via social media by posting a handwritten note on outlining the album’s details and also sharing a lyric video of its first single. “Love Remains” will feature vocals from Scott, her country star mother Linda Davis, father Lang Scott and sister Rylee. The album will be listed under the name Hillary Scott & the Scott Family produced by Country, bluegrass & gospel legend Ricky Skaggs.

The album contains a variety of new co-writes, time-honored gospel staples as well as some lesser-known oldies. Scott shares that “Love Remains” was motivated by “the cry of her heart.” She says she’s been singing these songs her whole life, and they have given her the strength to get through the good times and the bad.

It’s my desire that these songs can be that for you, too,” she says. “That they will bring you hope.”

The first single off the album is called “Thy Will” and will feature an uplifting message about letting go and letting God. Scott’s worshipful vocals are full throttle, with a hint of contemporary Christian soundscape to follow.

I wrote this song about a very recent experience that left me heartbroken, asking why, and facing some of my most difficult days,” Scott says. “This song is my letter to God. As I ask some really hard questions, I hold onto the truth that there is so much to the story of my life that I can’t see, but that I still choose to trust in Him.”

More information about “Love Remains” will be revealed in the coming weeks Scott promises…including the release date and more information behind the inspiration of her new songs.

She will head out on tour with Lady Antebellum again this summer, including a performance of the National Anthem at the Kentucky Derby on May 7th.
