Nearly 10 years after winning American Idol, Underwood has 18 No. 1 hits under her belt and “Something in the Water” has been the biggest debut of them all! The video for the first single from her Greatest Hits: Decade #1, debuted on her Twitter page. “She was such a trooper,” said director Raj Kapoor, who also enlisted help from ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ choreographer Travis Wall. “I think we just wanted to match the energy and for things to be really beautiful,” Underwood stated.

Following the anticipation surrounding Carrie’s performance of the song on the CMA Awards, followed by the video’s premiere that night on Twitter, “Something in the Water” has soared to #1 on Billboard’s sales, airplay and streaming based charts. The much-praised song is currently No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, No. 5 on the Hot Country Songs chart and No. 55 on the Hot 100.

The 31-year-old country singer announced her pregnancy in September. This will mark the first child for Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher, 34, who is a professional hockey player for the Nashville Predators. It’s worth taking the time to watch clips from the video and even catch a surprise Idol throwback. Underwood’s Greatest Hits: Decade #1 comes out in less than a month on Dec. 9! Be sure to mark your calendars!
