A Pistol Annies Reunion? Yes Please!

Friday night (October 2nd) in Augusta, Georgia, fans had an even better Friday night than expected when the Pistol Annies reunited for a very special live onstage performance.

The trio consisting of three of country’s feistiest women, Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley released their debut album, Hell on Heels, back in 2011, followed by their sophomore album, Annie Up, in 2013. Later that same year in June, they canceled all scheduled concerts unexpectedly which sent rumors flying that the group was on the verge of a breakup.

But the trio put the breakup rumors to rest recently during a stop on Lambert’s current Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour. Immediately following, social media was buzzing as pictures and footage of the performance began to surface.

From the videos posted, it looks like ladies are in the same old high spirits that they always were, dancing and laughing with each other onstage.

The Pistol Annie’s raised a ruckus last night in Augusta GA when we surprised the crowd! I hope yall are ready Fayetteville NC! The GIRLS are back in town! #roadsidebarsandpinkguitars #batshitcrazytour,” Miranda Lambert posted along with a picture on her social media pages.

The next tour stop on Lambert’s is on Thursday in Alabama, so be sure to keep an eye out for another possible appearance by the trio and more news!

We’ve decided at some point we’ll be Pistol Grannies together, but we just had to make a choice and decide,” she explains. “When Ashley and I didn’t have that much going on, it was easy to coordinate our schedules. We just had to take a little break, but never say never.”

Is there new music in the future for the Pistol Annies? Only time can tell! Our fingers are crossed!
