I hate to (but don’t hate to) admit that I have had a ‘Girl Crush’ on Little Big Town ever since they hit the country scene with their edgy looks and big sound. I am so excited that the GRAMMY award-winning country group has announced additional spring dates for ‘The Pain Killer Tour’, set to kick off March 5, 2015 in Savannah, Georgia.
The dynamic foursome, which consists of Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet, and Kimberly Schlapman, has also released the highly anticipated new single, “Girl Crush,” now playing on country radio! If you haven’t heard their new single yet, click here.
The next leg of The Pain Killer Tour, produced by AEG LIVE/The Messina Group, will also feature special guest Chris Stapleton and cover over 12 cities nationwide (see list of dates below). The band will once again offer unique VIP experiences for their faithful fans. Fans will be allowed to choose from 2 limited packages that includes meet and greets, pre-show soundcheck access, exclusive merchandise and much more.
“Girl Crush,” the second released single from the band’s newest album, ‘Pain Killer’ (Capitol Records Nashville), features Fairchild on lead vocals. The newly released single follows on the shirt tails of the group’s most recent #1 hit, ‘Day Drinking.’ Rolling Stone has named the sentimental tune as a “slow, exquisitely excruciating lover’s lament with a Phil Spectorian sense of emotional grandeur.”
‘Pain Killer’ released on October 21st marked the sixth studio album from the group since their inception in 2000. The group has been receiving rave reviews and has made both Billboard and Rolling Stone’s “Best Country Album of 2014” lists as well as “iTunes Best of 2014” list for “Country Album of the Year.” And to top it off, the band recently received a nomination for the 2015 GRAMMY Awards for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Day Drinking.” It is good to see that the group is getting the recognition they deserve!
